Wow, nothing gets by you does it sarpedun?

I really don't know yet....
I only planned up until the end of the Pro Tour story wise. I have to talk to Steve after that. Personally, I like stories that end.

I like writing the scripts, but the news section often times takes a lot out of me. I feel guilty if I don't put some effort into the news, since I know Steve puts effort into the comic. We were talking about making a new fantasy non-MtG comic.... I'm paying about ~15 bucks a month to run the server, but I don't mind that at all, it's more the time. Hit count is not too bad (I'm an attention whore so that matters to me)

Really, all I can say at this point is "I don't know. I might just keep sending Steve scripts and not write in the news... if he will let me get away with it. I think it might be better for Steve if we started a non-MtG comic after this so he can have more creative input to the jokes, but I have to talk to him about it."

But, the fact you paid enough attention to notice that comment I made, and cared enough to post here, well, that means something to me.

Personally I would like to keep the website going, even if it was not the current comic. I would be willing to do a new comic with new characters/story if people would be interested in that.

One thing I think would be kind of cool (if Taylor agrees) would be to have a new comic take over the 5cc slot, with plans to revisit the 5cc comic later. Like, say, 5cc ends... we do several months of comic-X... giving Taylor time to rest and come up with an all new kick @$$ 5cc story line. (comic-X would be to 5cc as "The Prestige" is to Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise)

Just an idea.

-Steve

:x I don't need no rest! I am an unending source of creativity, and I'm modest too! :x
:?
Anyway,

I could think of a new 5CC story line.

But, part of me wonders if we could not move on to greater things. If we moved to a new non-MtG storyline, and thus open the site to more readers. However, then we would no longer be a "niche" comic, and would have to "compete" with real comics.....

Part of me also wonders if Steve would not be better served if we did a comic HE could have more creative input in for the script. Steve is a funny guy, but he don't play magic, and can't well express his humor in a webcomic about magic.

Part of me wonders about a lot of things I guess........... The new comic would most likely have a more intricate storyline than this one anyway. I guess what I'm really looking for is what Steve wants. I would like to keep writing scripts every week, and I enjoy doing it. However, I kinda feel like Steve is getting jipped in the current deal, and if I cut back on the news, he will be getting jipped even more. However, if we make a comic he likes more, he will be getting jipped less!

Well I definitely do not feel like I am getting jipped ;) I enjoy drawing the comic and the format we have now is actually pretty easy for me. I would not mind a little more creative input, but I think having you (taylor) write each plot up would still be the way to go.
